After the successful launch of the DIVA full speaker it was worth exploiting further the potential of the concentric DIVA chassis in a smaller and thus more economical cabinet. Out came a cost efficient compact speaker hardly inferior in the reproduction of sound when compared to the taller sister.

This monitor is aiming at the music lovers preferring a smaller speaker system not only for budget reasons; a speaker that is not demanding regarding room acoustics and placement, and on top is playing in a refreshing and lively manner, so typical of monitor design speaker. 

The back-to-back mounting of the two drivers on a common functional axle enabled WLM to stay within the budgetary limits and at the same time to reach unprecedented tonal results; thus offering a different and extremely interesting access to musical enjoyment.  Through the direct and focused emission of the signal the listener is put closer to the essential core of the music.

 Structure and functioning

The DIVA MONITOR is offered in 3 attractive real timber veneers Maple, Cherry and Zebrano.

The concentric twin-driver assembly consists of a medium/low chassis on to which the super tweeter is mounted. In a 2-way principle the 2 drivers are emitting the signal in perfect focus to the front.

Similar to the higher WLM models the main chassis has a hard paper cone with textile cone edge. Its notable diameter has 254 mm.

The bass reflex opens to the front of the speaker. Like the other WLM speakers, the DIVA terminal is equipped with a useful TWEETER CONTROL. Through this sensible adjustment of the high frequencies the listener can set the DIVA MONITOR to match room acoustics with the special characteristics of his chain and/or his personal tastes. 

The cross-over of minimalist design is built with very selective components; the high quality, strong WBT clamps (single wiring) take any type of cable end: banana, forked shoes, crimped ends.

The monitor is not very difficult to place; however it will appreciate being placed on a firm and stable stand, preferably one that has spikes to decouple it from the ground.

Sound characteristics

The DIVA MONITOR is a ready proof of economical limits necessitating technical solutions which in return are leading to unexpected results. The concentration on a coaxial chassis arrangement and a compact cabinet design is setting new standards.

To extend the lower frequencies beyond the usual level of performance WLM is offering for the operation of the DIVA MONITOR the DIVA CONTROL. This electronic modules allow the part active operation for a spontaneous, very precise, incredibly strong and extremely fast bass reproduction.

The neutral sound pitch makes the DIVA MONITOR an interesting candidate for many types of use. It is not at all demanding regarding amplification, even though especially keen to show its sensitive response capabilities when matched with tube amps.
