Researching the acoustics of music reproduction over many years has lead to the creation of the WLM PAC tweeter system. During many years it has been employed successfully in the WLM REFERENCE SERIES.

With this speaker concept, unique in the world and much appreciated by the music lovers, the limits of physics applying to the traditional speaker technology had been surpassed. The world-wide acceptance of this unique tweeter system was drive and challenge alike to undertake further steps in a new development.

 Today WLM is in a position to proudly introduce the great SUPER-PAC tweeter system.

The objective was to further improve space imaging of sonic reproduction; it should be able to create the impression of a concert hall in the listener's living room. An additional task was to play the higher frequencies of the signal fuller, in greater clarity, with additional details of resolution and well contoured.

The reach of these objectives was not all that easy. The choice of material employed and the search for the most suitable construction, able to reproduce music to a degree of naturalness unknown to date, forced WLM to follow new patterns of design and development.

The facial surface of the tweeter has been enlarged; purest silver wires (0.8 mm) having genuine mica insulation are used, only specially selected tweeter drivers are accepted. The high precision assembly is done by craftsmen by hand.

The results are nothing less than spectacular: color-free, highly neutral and homogenous sound bringing about a treasure of emotional content when part of the original recording. The imaging is clearly of 3-dimensional proportions and very natural. The SUPER-PAC system is capable of taking extremely fast impulses and to reproduce them free of distortion, in a neutral manner, a performance not readily matched by the majority of the speakers available today.

The WLM speakers of the SIGNATURE SERIES, e.g. the model GRAN VIOLA are equipped as standard with the SUPER-PAC.

The speakers of the REFERENCE SERIES (AURA, LYRA, VIOLA) are optionally also available in the SIGNATURE grade with SUPER-PAC. All speakers delivered to date having the PAC system can be upgraded by the SUPER-PAC.
